Honeymoon Part 2

Tim and I boarded the Carnival Legend and had a BLAST on the cruise! We did SOOO many amazing things! Here are some highlights!

As soon as we got on the cruise we took a walk around. That's the Pilot boat in the background making sure we got safely out to sea!

We kept staring at our rings the whole week!

We ate at the Sushi bar A LOT!

On the way to Cozumel in the transfer boat.

We drove a Jeep through Cozumel, Mexico and made our way into the Jungle to go swim in the caves!

Taken from underground looking up!

Our ship beside another Carnival cruise ship. Ours is the one on the left.

When we went to Belize, we drove 2 hours on a bus to get to these Mayan Ruins. When we got to the bottom of the mountain, we had to take this Crank Ferry to the other side of the river. This car got on the ferry right before us. It was awesome!

This is the name of the Mayan ruins. This is actually 2 miles from the Guatemalan border.

The main Mayan Ruin. See those people at the top?  I climbed up there too!!

Up, Up, Up we go!!

This picture makes me LAUGH. Tim realized about two-thirds of the way up that he didn't want to climb to the top with so many people and such narrow little ledges. So I went to the top and he camped out down below! :) This is a picture of our guide telling us about the rest of the climb and giving us some safety precautions. I just couldn't resist snapping this picture of Tim!

In Honduras (Mahogany Bay) we took a ski lift down to the beach!

This is Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands. This was our last port and the MOST beautiful beach!

On the last day at sea we went to a towel/animal making demonstration! HA!

Here's my elephant!!!

Dressing up and going to dinner was one of my most favorite things!

We had a GREAT honeymoon!!!

Honeymoon Part 1

Tim and I got married on a Friday because (A) it was cheaper and (B) I wanted to get married as quickly as possible after school was out! We looked at honeymoon destinations for MONTHS and honestly didn't have anything nailed down until about a month before the wedding. YIKES! We finally decided on a cruise after many "polite discussions" and chose the Western Carribean since neither of us had been to those places. The cruise left out of Tampa on that Sunday so we had to figure out where we were going before then. Tim's only request was that he didn't want to stay in Charleston - even Friday night. He worked downtown for years in restaurants and although he knows how beautiful Charleston is, he just didn't want to stay here. Understandable, I guess!

So then we had to figure out where we were going after our wedding reception. We ended up driving to Atlantic Beach, Florida - basically Jacksonville. Man, what a great drive. I'm sure when I post about our wedding (I'm waiting on pictures), I will include the HILARIOUS story about how we drove off as the caterer was bringing out our basket of food and neither of us had eaten ANYTHING that whole night. But I'll leave that story for another day! Needless to say, we had to do what any hungry newlywed couple would do -  stop at McDonalds. And oh, that first hour and a half was magical! We talked about the whole day, who we saw at the wedding, how much fun it was, and basically discussed every detail of the wedding. But then as we were passing Savannah, things got a little quiet. A lot quiet actually as the tiredness set in. We might or might not have stopped at a rest area and set our timer on our phones for 20 minutes to get a little cat nap. REALLY romantic I'm telling ya! But we finally made it about 3:00 a.m. to Atlantic Beach, and our glorious hotel: One Ocean. It was gorgeous!

We stayed here until Sunday morning and had a great time! We went to the beach, the pool, ate sushi and went to the movies! Early Sunday morning we got up and continued the drive to Tampa.

Ironically, this was the Jacksonville newspaper headline the morning after our wedding!

After eating sushi!

Why yes, we did see the Batmobile in Atlantic Beach!

They also have a Poe's Tavern in Atlantic Beach! We had lunch on Saturday here!

I'll be posting more about the rest of our trip soon! If you're married, where did YOU go on your honeymoon? Leave a comment below!

Welcome to Stephanie's Street!

Well hello there! I am attempting to blog now and I know this is such a rare thing, as hardly ANYONE has blogs these days. Oh they do? ....Well then. Now I have the ultimate challenge of creating posts worthy of you coming back to read - Challenge Accepted.

Since I probably have millions of fans reading who don't know anything about me, I'll tell you a little bit about myself  - humor me, please :)  My name is Stephanie and I am 27. I got married just a few weeks ago and am off for the summer as I am a first grade teacher. I am now trying to convince my husband of 25 days to let me stay home and become a full time house wife but for some reason he's not taking the bait. (!?!?!) We live in a teeny tiny apartment with our dog Bess and cat Sophie.

My main reason for wanting to create a blog is really to keep track of our day to day life. I can't wait to share what's going on with us and to also see what God has in store for us!
